Expanding Across the Region

1950-1989

As Universal continued to grow, our work expanded across healthcare, education, civic, commercial, and entertainment projects throughout the Midwest. During this period, healthcare became a major focus as we helped build and expand many of the Kansas City area's leading hospitals.

From iconic destinations like Starlight Theatre to major commercial developments, educational facilities, and municipal buildings, Universal established a reputation for delivering complex projects across a wide range of markets. This era marked a period of significant growth and helped position the company as one of the region's most experienced builders.
