John Durkes

John is our Senior Superintendent with over 39 years of experience in the construction industry, including 24 years with Universal Construction. He brings a dependable and hands-on approach to field operations, helping ensure projects remain organized, safe, and aligned throughout construction.

John supports day-to-day field activities by working closely with project teams, contractors, and suppliers to maintain schedule compliance, quality standards, and job site safety. His extensive experience across renovations, additions, and new construction allows him to effectively assist with field coordination while helping keep projects moving efficiently from start to finish.

Known for his steady presence in the field, John takes pride in supporting project teams and maintaining strong working relationships throughout construction.

Throughout his career, John has contributed to a wide range of education, civic, and community-focused projects, reflecting a strong commitment to dependable field support and reliable project execution. His experience across a variety of project types allows him to adapt to the unique challenges of each job while maintaining a focus on quality, safety, and consistency.

Outside of work, John enjoys spending time outdoors, including snorkeling, horseback riding, and camping.
