President
Joel takes pride in being part of the fifth generation of the Smith family at Universal Construction, working alongside his brothers Cameron and Zak and his cousins Archie and Gary to continue a long standing legacy. That pride carries into his work, where he focuses on building strong relationships and delivering projects with consistency and care. With over 21 years in the construction industry, all with UCC, Joel brings a well rounded perspective shaped by more than a decade in the field as a superintendent and six years in executive leadership as Chief Operations Officer. Outside of work, Joel serves as an elder at Christ Community Church and is actively involved in leadership and supporting his community.
