Gary Walker

Gary serves as Vice President of Risk Management and brings over 23 years of construction experience to Universal Construction, including 11 years with the company. A former Captain in the United States Marine Corps, Gary is known for his disciplined leadership style, attention to detail, and commitment to accountability across every aspect of a project.

With a strong background in Construction Quality Management, Gary oversees project planning, scheduling, contract administration, document control, budget management, and risk mitigation. He works closely with project teams, staff, and consultants to ensure projects remain aligned, challenges are addressed proactively, and quality standards are maintained from start to finish.

Throughout his career, Gary has helped lead a wide range of education, municipal, justice, aviation, industrial, and community-focused projects. His ability to balance strategic oversight with day-to-day project execution has made him a trusted leader for clients and project teams alike.

Outside of work, Gary enjoys spending time with his family and values the relationships he builds with those around him. While known for his disciplined leadership style, he is equally known for his approachable personality and genuine interest in others. Whether discussing construction, current events, or life's bigger questions, Gary enjoys meaningful conversations and lifelong learning.
