Derrick Johnson

Derrick serves as General Superintendent and brings over 20 years of experience in the construction industry, including 12 years with Universal Construction.

He provides field leadership and oversight across multiple projects, helping ensure work is completed safely, efficiently, and to the highest standards of quality.

With a strong focus on schedule compliance, safety, and contractor coordination, Derrick works closely with project teams, subcontractors, and suppliers throughout construction. His hands-on approach and attention to detail help keep projects moving forward while maintaining alignment with project goals, contract requirements, and client expectations.

Throughout his career, Derrick has contributed to a wide range of education, civic, municipal, and commercial projects. His experience in field operations and project supervision allows him to effectively manage day-to-day construction activities while supporting successful project outcomes from start to finish.

Outside of work, Derrick enjoys spending time with his family, coaching youth softball, and perfecting his skills behind the grill. His passion for cooking has earned him multiple culinary awards, and he enjoys bringing the same dedication, preparation, and attention to detail to his hobbies that he brings to every project.
