Derek is a Field Manager with 8 years of experience in the construction industry, including 5 years with Universal Construction. He brings a hands-on approach to field operations, helping projects remain organized, productive, and aligned throughout construction.

Derek works closely with project teams, subcontractors, and field personnel to support day-to-day construction activities and maintain project progress. As a bilingual leader, he regularly works alongside Universal's carpenters and laborers, helping coordinate field operations, communicate expectations, and maintain a safe and efficient jobsite environment.

Throughout his career, Derek has gained extensive experience supporting K-12 construction projects, including additions, renovations, secure entries, athletic facilities, and site improvements. His ability to work directly with field crews and adapt to the unique challenges of occupied school environments has made him a valuable resource on education projects throughout the region.

Outside of work, Derek enjoys spending time with family and staying active in his community.
