Owner

Cynthia brings over 12 years of leadership and support to Universal Construction, helping guide the company through continued growth while maintaining a strong focus on relationships, integrity, and family values. As Owner, she plays an active role in company operations, administrative coordination, and major decision making across the organization.


With several family members working throughout the organization, Cynthia brings a deeply personal investment to Universal Construction and its continued success. A former special education teacher, she has played a major role in shaping Universal Construction’s strong focus on education projects and the relationships the company has built within school districts and communities throughout the region.


Under Cynthia’s leadership, Universal Construction was recognized as the 2021 Kansas Women Owned Business in Construction, an award presented by Governor Laura Kelly recognizing the company’s continued impact and leadership within the construction industry.


In addition to her leadership responsibilities, Cynthia plays a key role in maintaining the family-oriented culture of Universal Construction, supporting employees, office initiatives, and the relationships that make the company unique. Her background in education and passion for serving others continues to influence the way she approaches leadership, community involvement, and employee support.


Outside of work, Cynthia enjoys spending time with her husband, sons, and grandchildren, along with RVing, riding her e-bike, kayaking, pickleball, birding, and spending time outdoors. She and her family are active members of Christ Community Church in Leawood, Kansas.
