Cord Powell

Cord brings over 10 years of experience in the construction industry, including 9 years with Universal Construction. After graduating from Pittsburg State University with a degree in Construction Management, he began building his career in K-12 construction and has remained focused on education projects throughout his time with the company.

With experience spanning both new construction and renovations, Cord plays a key role in project coordination, documentation management, and day-to-day project support. He is committed to keeping project teams aligned, ensuring information remains current, and helping projects move forward efficiently from planning through completion.

Throughout his career, Cord has contributed to a wide range of school projects across Kansas and Missouri, including major additions, renovations, and new facility construction. He enjoys working closely with owners, architects, and project teams to help deliver successful projects that support students, educators, and growing communities.

Outside of work, Cord enjoys spending time with his wife and two sons and can often be found exploring the outdoors. Whether hiking a trail, spending time near the river, or visiting a local park, he values opportunities to be active and spend time with his family
