Cameron Smith

Cameron brings over 17 years of experience with Universal Construction, where he serves as Equipment Manager and supports many of the day-to-day operational needs that keep projects and field teams moving efficiently. As a member of Laborers Local 1290, he brings a hands-on and solutions-driven approach to supporting the company's equipment, vehicles, facilities, and operational systems.

Known around the office and jobsites as the person who can fix just about anything, Cameron plays an important role in supporting field staff and helping ensure equipment and vehicles remain operational and ready for use. From troubleshooting unexpected issues to coordinating repairs and maintenance, he works behind the scenes to keep projects moving and crews supported.

Throughout his career with Universal Construction, Cameron has helped oversee the company's equipment division while supporting countless projects across Kansas and Missouri. His reliability, problem-solving mindset, and willingness to jump in wherever needed have made him a trusted resource for both field and office personnel.

Outside of work, Cameron enjoys spending time with his two children, being at the lake with family and friends, and playing music as part of a band. Whether he's working on equipment, spending time outdoors, or performing with fellow musicians, he enjoys staying active and hands-on in everything he does.
