JUSTICE / DETENTION

According to the Justice Department's Bureau of Justice Statistics, the country's incarcerated population increased by 220 percent in the last 10 years and the future shows no signs of letting up. Combine that statistic with a decline in early releases and a trend toward longer sentences, and you can see why there is an immediate demand for correctional facility beds. Also, there is evidence to show significant efficiencies can be obtained by incorporating courtrooms, sheriff's offices, jail, 911, etc. in the same facility.

Universal Construction Company, Inc. has recently emerged as one of the most recognized Justice / Detention builders in the Kansas and Missouri region. We have successfully completed numerous projects over the past 10 years. Projects have ranged from small administrative additions to new state of the art 264-bed maximum security facilities. Please check back from time to time to find out what projects we are currently working on.
