ABOUT ME
My father always said deals were made with a hand shake and his word was good. My grandfather told me stories of day trips to Leavenworth, Kansas with his father in horse drawn wagon fill of construction materials to work. As a 4th-generation construction contractor for Universal Construction, I see myself as honest, caring and dependable.

I care about people, especially others in need. Locally, I serve with Feed the People Ministries, who go out weekly and serve meals to homeless and hungry in Kansas City. I have been on five mission trips to Jamaica to work with Won by One and the community to build 12' x 15' hurricane resistant homes. My son and I went on another mission trip to Joplin, Missouri, where we volunteered for the school district.

I love all types of animals and enjoy being in nature, which includes bird watching, boating, and camping.

I served as social chair, secretary and president of the Burroughs Audubon Society of Kansas City. I have served as PTO vice president and president in the Blue Valley School District. In the Boy Scouts of America, I received the title of Honored Woman in the tribe of Mic-O-Say.

Steve and I were married in 1982. We have raised four young men and have two wonderful grandchildren. We are active members of Christ Community Evangelical Free Church in Leawood, Kansas.
