ABOUT US

1931-1950

In 1931, we became Universal Construction and provided General Contracting Services.
The 30s and 40s brought multiple obstacles that we had to overcome. We stayed afloat during Great Depression by landing a lot of industrial and educational projects when money was tight. The 40s brought different slew of obstacles during the war. Several employees left for war and was difficult to find workers. Our ownership team would approach Native American Tribes to recruit workers that way, which often resulting in having the Chief stop in to see how well they were performing. Additionally, we had good relationships with County Sheriffs and they would recommend inmates who were unable to post bail that were serving time for minor infractions. We would offer to loan them bail money and to come pay it off by working for us.
